Window Replacement:

Window Benefits:

• Reduces Utility Bills Up To 25%
• Reduces Noise, Dust, and Pollen
• Adds Security To Your Home
• Tilt option eases cleaning
• Adds Value
• Beautifies The "Eyes" Of Your Home

1) How do I know if I need new windows?

A recent study by H.U.D. (Housing and Urban Development) found that 75% of American homes have some kind of window problem. If your windows are aluminum framed and single glazed, chances are that your windows are inefficient and costing you more on your utility bills than you should be paying.

2) If I have window problems, do I need to replace all of my windows?

Not necessarily. The AZPW Company offers several types of efficient windows. We offer a window style and model to fit your needs and your budget.

3) Is there a difference between a storm window and a thermal replacement window?

Yes. A storm window or insulating window is manufactured to fit over your existing window. A thermal replacement window is custom-made to replace your existing window. Both thermal windows and insulating windows will help make your home energy efficient and secure, and reduce noise, pollen and dust levels.

4) Can you give me a price on my windows without coming out to my home?

It's very hard to give an accurate price without seeing your home. Phone quotes can be misleading. The AZPW Company pledges a written price that specifies every detail of your window project. We custom measure the windows, recommend a window style that will suit your purpose, fabricate the windows and install the windows.

5) What type of warranty comes with AZPW windows?

We are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on all of our window products. The warranty includes glass breakage, working parts, and the exterior finish of the windows. On some of our window and door packages, we even offer a guaranteed reduction of fuel usage.

6) I've got odd-shaped windows that are in brick. Can you make windows to fit my home?

Certainly. At AZPW we don't carry any stock sized windows. We don't make your windows until you order them. They are truly custom-made for your home. Whether your home is wood frame, brick, block or stucco, custom windows are made to fit your exact window opening with virtually no mess or damage to your interior or exterior.

7) How long does it take to make and install new windows?

Manufacturing of our deluxe thermal windows takes 2 to 3 weeks. Installation on an average home only takes 2 to 3 days. Manufacturing of our insulating security windows only takes 1 week and they can be installed in usually 1 day.

VINYL SIDING:

Benefits

• Never Paint Again
• Adds insulation
• Saves On Utility Bills
• Beautiful Appearance
• Adds Value To Property
• Controls Moisture

1) Why should I consider vinyl siding on my home?

Why paint? Vinyl siding is beautiful! It is designed and textured to look just like wood.

Various styles and dozens of designer colors are available in order to compliment your home's architecture and your personal taste.

Our insulation package included in every siding job dramatically increases your home's energy, efficiency, and comfort.

2) What kind of warranty comes with vinyl siding?

Vinyl siding is extremely durable and is warranted for your lifetime, the next homeowners lifetime, and the lifetime of the home.......... That is a long time!

3) How does the cost of vinyl siding compare to painting my home?

You only install vinyl siding one time on your home. You paint your home every 3-4 years. Initially vinyl siding costs more than painting, but considering the lifetime of protection and insulation that vinyl siding gives you, it becomes a more economical investment than routine painting.

4) Can't you give us a price on vinyl siding without coming out to our home?

It's very difficult to give an accurate price on siding without seeing both the condition of your home and taking accurate measurements. At AZPW, we promise all of our clients a quick, courteous estimate. We won't waste your time. We give you an exact written estimate detailing all of the specifications of your proposed project. Some folks charge for this service. We don't.

5) We've heard a lot of negative talk about siding contractors. How do we know we can trust AZPW Company?

Check us out! We have been serving Houston area homeowners since 1994. We are fully insured for your protection. We have a full time service department to respond to your needs. The AZPW family understands that trust must be earned. We hope that you give us an opportunity to earn yours!

HARDIEPLANK/FIBER CEMENT

Fiber cement is a durable siding with many benefits. It is very popular because it looks like wood, has a rigid feel and does not deteriorate like wood siding. It has a natural curb appeal. Fiber cement is composed of Portland cement, ground sand, cellulose fiber, select additives and water.

How is Fiber Cement applied to your home?

Fiber cement is considered a masonry product and is heavier than wood or vinyl products, thus it is very important that the product is fastened according to manufacturers' specifications. AZPW Products follows all manufacturers' guidelines in the installation of fiber cement siding.

Does Fiber Cement need painting?

Fiber cement products will need to be painted. Most fiber cement siding comes primed from the factory. The product is installed, then two (2) coats of exterior grade acrylic paint are applied to the siding. The paint job on fiber cement will last longer than paint on wood siding because fiber cement resists shrinking and swelling, enabling a good brand of paint to last up to 3 times longer on fiber cement siding.

Benefits of Fiber Cement:

• Will not rot or deteriorate like wood siding
• Fire Resistant
• Strong and resistant to impact, hail and flying debris
• Low maintenance -- paint lasts longer

Does Fiber Cement come in various styles and textures?
Yes, James Hardie manufacturers fiber cement siding in numerous styles and textures. This enables you to find a style and design that will make your home look its best.

Which siding would you rather have protecting your home?

James Hardie Siding VS. Vinyl Siding

Flame Resistance

James Hardie siding is noncombustible. Approved for fire-rated construction. Vinyl siding will melt or burn when exposed to a significant source of heat or flame.

Fade Resistance

The ColorPlus Technology factory applied, baked on finish provides up to 30% better fade resistance than competitive products.* Color can't be changed and is susceptible to fading. And vinyl siding is difficult to get a perfect match when repairs are needed. Resists rotting, warping, cracking, hail, and high winds up to 150 mph.

Weather Resistance

Vinyl can be damaged by hail, limbs, and other flying debris.
James Hardie siding is 5x thicker than vinyl, providing more durability and protection for your home.

Thickness

Even premium vinyl siding is only 5/100" Thickness thick.

Five Things to Consider About Vinyl Siding

1. It's Only A Cover-Up. Since vinyl siding is often installed over your old problematic existing siding your current problems may continue to get worse. Additionally, since vinyl is not tightly nailed to the home, it invites insects and moisture to build behind panels, potentially penetrating the structure of the home.

2. It's Flammable. Vinyl siding will melt or warp when exposed to a significant source of heat or flame. Some cases have even been reported that vinyl siding has melted and warped due to the heat from the reflection of the sun from a nearby neighbor's window.

3. It Fades. If you've been told that vinyl siding lasts a "Life-Time", think again. Over time all colors are going to fade from the sun. So with vinyl what are my options:

a. Install a replacement piece. Good luck finding a matching color.
b. Pay to have the entire wall, or house resided with vinyl again.
c. You can attempt to paint it, but because it was designed to expand and contract with climate changes, painted vinyl panels tend to crack and peel over time.

4. The Warranty. What does "Life-Time" really mean? Be sure to closely review the warranty's fine print to see what is truly covered and for how long. Review closely a vinyl manufacturer's definition of "Normal Weathering." Ask your vinyl sales rep how much is (4) Hunter Units. In addition most of those warranties have confusing pro-ratings that almost always favor the manufacturer.

5. Curb Appeal. Although vinyl siding attempts to imitate the look of wood siding, aesthetically it falls short. Many would argue that its overlapping seams and faux wood grain are very unnatural, , leaving the home looking like plastic and lacking curb appeal.
